The continuing campaign for a Tech Board

Certainly by now, most understand the need for a technology board on this website. Among the plurality of threads that have been created endorsing such a board, two of the more prominent have been linked below.
An argument for a Technology Board - 5 pages, no response, anchored.
Once again...Tech Board please? - 7 pages, no response, anchored.
You'll notice something interesting about each thread - not only was there no response from an admin, but the threads were actually anchored, preventing all further discussion on the matter. Instead of simply taking a few seconds to respond at any point in either thread, which would have effectively ended all discussion and actually been helpful, the discussions were silently suppressed with no answer provided.
Ironically enough, we know that campaigning and constant inquiry are almost necessary to engender a new board, as revealed by Chicken -
Were the threads that begged for a Music Board anchored in such a whimsical manner? Regardless, it's clear that community vocalization is key for the introduction of a new board, so it's curious why such threads would actually be suppressed.
And with respect to any technological impediments in creating a new board, well...there really don't seem to be any. The SEC Rant has exploded over the past few weeks with 10+ new boards, some of which still have threads that are 2 weeks old on the front page.
So, with that said, I think it's important to keep the discussion going. This is obviously a feature that many users on the site want, and as we've demonstrated for months, technology is an exceptionally popular topic that warrants a dedicated board.
Below you'll find all 166 tech threads that have been generated on the OT since the first of the month. Alternatively, here's an album of all 166 threads in higer resolution. (click in the top right of each image and select "view in full resolution")

I vote nay. We're perfect where we are IMO.

so you're saying the OT had all these threads in a row with no NSFW threads mixed in. Pretty damn unbelievable.

There's a feature on this website called "Bookmark". I'm sure you're familiar with it.
I go back 100 pages on the OT (which is as far back as one can go) and bookmark all the tech threads. Then I take screencaps and upload them to an image hosting site.

ok well that doesn't show the true story:
1 tech thread maybe
1 tech thread maybe

You're doing it wrong.
Clear your bookmarks. Go to the 100th page of the OT. Bookmark every tech thread you see on all 100 pages.
Then, go to your bookmarks, and start taking screencaps of all the tech threads.

Why would they anchor those two other threads?

I'm not doing it wrong. You are saying you need a tech board because there have been 166 thread. But the percentage is really small

I'm saying (and what many are saying) is that technology is such a popular topic on the OT that a dedicated board for such discussions is warranted.
There were 107 threads on the OT on the 17th. Let's assume this is average for a given day. 166 tech threads over the course of 17 days averages out to about 10 tech threads per day. Meaning, over 9% of threads every single day on the OT are tech releated.
This is a message board where people can create a post pertaining to almost anything - so when a single topic occupies almost 1 in every 10 threads every day, it's quite significant.
Additionally, as has been demonstrated, this percentage was significantly higher than the percentage of music threads on the OT on a given day (see the first link in the OP), yet music was granted its own board.

No arguments here. Music board is weak.

It's another board for you to post on. You should be thrilled.

Ron, can you delete or edit the image you posted above? I have a 20" monitor, yet I have to scroll horizontally to read everything...

Ironic. If only there was a place for you to discuss this.
