7342, I found that if I manually resized the image to 80 x 80 in Imgur, it then worked as an avatar. Clicking on small square wasn't working for me. Hope this helps.

What a pain. It's not as easy as "click the small square." You've got to upload the image, publish the image, then click on the image, then you get to the point where you can select the image size URL.
Thanks for the pointer Spot, but I finally figured it out.
Couple of you guys are grading right, one is gradin' on a curve, but I passed on the re-test.
Now on to the next issue.....
