TD ads overriding video on iPhone

Sometimes I’ll be watching a game on my phone and pull up tRant with ESPN in PIP view. In the past this worked fine, but recently (I’m really just noticing it this weekend) the video keeps getting stopped periodically when I load a page.

Usually it goes like this - I open a TD thread and video stops. I hit play and it starts playing again for a second, then stops again. The only way I can get the video to keep playing is by refreshing the page in TD. I think this is caused by ads somehow taking over the video playback.

Is there a way to stop this from happening? While I’d like to watch the baseball game and read shitposts on tRant, if forced to pick between the two I think I’m going to just watch the game.
