Since when is an art exhibit off limits on the fark board?

Admins...been here a long time...and I do not recall seeing a work of art considered off limits to fark. I read the FAQ as to why threads get whacked, and I don't see a reason why the Michael Brown art exhibit is not allowed. Its an art work...not a crime scene. Sure, topic is controversial...but since when has TD censored on the basis of controversy? I'd say the 20 page All Sharp ton thread might be controversial. What gives? (Seriously trying to figure out why that thread got the whack. I'll hang up and listen...
