Q+ Thread being anchored then deleted

POTUS posted a meme clearly showing the topic.
The thread was discussing current and potential past events. Obvious to many that this topic should be discusses further - for/against as is with most topics.
Why kill a thread that was discussing ongoing activities?
An honest question which I would appreciate an honest answer to.

Restart it without a reference to Q. Just have TPA start a thread with a generic title that won't draw attention but the anons will know.

While TPA started the first and participate greatly, was not involved in this thread and I don't control anyones activities.
The topic was really pinpointed directly at the POTUS post which anyone looking could clearly see.
