CFB's daughter born with Downs Syndrome. After several years, he told their story a couple of days ago and as usual...well, you know the rest of the story.

Fwiw, he didn't wish death on anyone

just stated his opinion that kids with disabilities that would hinder the child from having a normal life should not be brought into this world

NO, he said "This child should have been aborted. /thread"

You want to go to bat for someone, get the fricking details right. He said THIS child about a picture of my daughter. Stop being disingenuous about the facts.

That comment from him was pretty unexpected. I'd never found him to be so hateful or callous before, but he obviously didn't realize it was CFB's daughter until after the fact. That gives me a pretty good indication that he meant what he said, thus he is a pretty large douchbag.

Everyone one in the thread, in a very bi-partisan manner, crushed him for it. Temporary bannage is warranted, IMO. No permaban, IMO.

His point was this world is hard enough, so why would you bring a baby into it with an obvious disability

not a popular stance on this site obviously, but it's an opinion

just like people who think old people who have alzeimers and can no longer function should have the right to have a medically assisted suicide.

These are not popular views of course, but they are views nonetheless

Well he wasn't talking about fetuses in general in his first reply. He said "this child should have been aborted" and later recanted only because he found out it was my daughter. So while he did not say, " I wish her dead," he most certainly implied she shouldn't have been born. Either way the end result of what he was advocating was her to cease to exist. Bend this shite however you want, but I expected more honesty out of you than this.

It's his opinion and he's entitled to it..I was just arguing the him not wishing death point...He is on the Rant most of the time and is one of the few posters i like there....

The wishing death point is an error on my part. He didn't wish her to die, he just thinks she should have been denied life.
