Can we have a Golf Board? Serious Request

There are so many aspects of the sport, not to mention it will clean up the multi-post threads that you guys think is slowing the site down.
There are so many different types of:
Golf Shafts
Club Heads
Swing Speeds
Grips
Ball Manufacturers
Swing Instructors
Tips
Tricks
Shot Types
Skill Levels
Putting Styles
Rules
Etc
I could go all day with this list
There are numerous different types of courses and conditions to be discussed. There are 3 major golf tours not to mention the smaller tours that avid golf fans routinely follow and would like to discuss. There is a point system and rankings system that is difficult to understand, but there are a few golfers on Tigerdroppings who do.
Golf is a sport that gets a lot of hate, especially on this site. The problem with that is that as posters get older and lose a step in any of the major sports discussed here, many will have little choice but to pick up the game. It is a sport that can be utilized as a business tool, and one that you can play well after you retire.
I'm getting tired of not being able to discuss golf anywhere on this site without every single thread being anchored. There are dozens of posters who are keeping to the topic at hand and the admins anchor a thread because they don't agree with 1 or 2 words in a single post. A golf board eliminates the need for the admins to seemingly wage war on everyone who seems to enjoy the game.
We would like a place to discuss our rounds, and maybe meet a few fellow posters who play golf. I know I have met and regularly play with several posters here already, but there are more out there. There are so many people around here that are serious about the game, and I feel that those guys are getting ignored or turned away from the weekly thread. I completely understand that, but maybe a golf board will make it easier for them to come around.
If you even consider having a golf board, I would greatly appreciate it and I know I would not be alone.
Thanks

Agreed.
One thread isn't enough. We could easily fill a board and have tournaments of our own, rate courses, discuss fitness, equipment, and track the Symetra, Webb, and PGA tours.
It would work, especially when there would be multiple threads for different areas. Such as a thread for Texas golf, LA golf, MS, Alabama, Florida, and so on and so forth.

I agree with this. As someone who once played golf with some sense of regularity. It would be nice to have a place for serious discussion.

and they anchor this thread. Probably without even reading it. I make a valid argument and this is what happens?
What do they want from us?

I'm not going to sit here and give a bullshite "support", no matter which side of the argument I fall on. In general, I would absolutely love to see a golf board. There is more to discuss on the sport than most others, simply for the fact that it's a year long season, tournaments are every week, and it can be enjoyed by professionals and amateurs alike.
Golf is truly the only sport that doesn't have a sideline. Someone can sit on their couch all day and discuss a football/basketball game, or how good the upcoming recruiting class is going to be. However, everyone has the ability to get off the sidelines and get in the game...and the great part is: many people already do.
I think what this topic brings up is a bigger issue at hand - that many people on this site don't agree with the current setup or structuring of boards. An entire board dedicated to soccer? No health or wellness board? Sports not having their own board can't be discussed on the MORE SPORTS Board?
I believe it's time that the admins buckle down, make a request thread, tally up the votes, and do a little reorginization. The problems that currently arise are because of rules that are either out of place, or the general absence of them, as it pertains to certain boards and posts.
So, what I and many others I believe would like to see isn't necessarily a good board, but a general restructuring in general that would ultimately give us the ability to discuss the sport we love so much.

ZeeDustin just got banned for starting the weekly golf thread.

Hahahaha
Sadly it won't happen. I wasn't even allowed to start a nightly recruiting roundup thread that would turn into a half IM thread for like an hour then died.
Tigerdroppings was so much better 4 or 5 years ago

He had to wax on about it, but in the end it sounds like unequivocal support.
