Well, it would slow down the SEC Rant tremendously, for the next few weeks. Would it be a full time addition? Also, how would admins monitor it? Would it be a free-for-all like the SEC Rant or more closely monitored like the Recruiting Board.
Lot to consider since people would post with a lot of different agendas all year long. Might just be a temp board like the Coaching Changes, or a trial run.
Overall, I think I support it, but lot to consider.

No, it will be a mess, and full of heckling. If you think it can remain as civilized (even the current state of the RB) as the Recruiting board, you're insane.
And the ratio of Auburn/Bama fans will be even higher on that board than the SEC Rant.

I think if this happens memphisplaya should be one of the mods, since he's the one heavily campaigning for it, and then he could pick a few others to help him.
