I am 38 and started lifting 3 days a week at 5:15 till 6:30. I wake up, take preworkout and lift. I then head to work, and don't eat till noon.
Should I beat intaking some type of protein (bar or shake) right after workout? I get extremely hungry around 7:15. I was thinking of getting some powder to drink after. Is this a good idea?

Overthinking it man. Yes get some. Youre hungry, eat. Grab some bananas and apples while youre at it.

Yes....you should definitely be eating post workout. Depending on your goals, I would have a post workout shake and then most likely try to eat real food shortly after shake.
But either way I would highly suggest at least having a Postworkout Shake.
