I've been on prednisone for about a week to treat asthma. It's worked well and as a bonus has relieved tendonitis in my elbow and hip. When I finish the prednisone can I expect the hip and elbow pain to return or might that be a permanent fix?

It won’t be a permanent fix. You need to switch to an anti inflammatory diet such as Paleo or Keto. When I eat in these styles I’m not stiff in the morning when I wake up. The SAD causes inflammation. The lower the carbs in your diet the less inflammation you will have. Insulin is pro-inflammation.

I also recommend a high quality turmeric supplement to be taken daily as an anti inflammatory.

after 7 days no. it would take him long term use at least a month or so to get that. Im 35 and have taken prednisone on and off for my last 32 yrs on this earth. When i was young i was on it 2years straight. Had bad asthma and allergies. I now take it like twice a year when i get a bad sinus infection/allergies. 5-7 days you wont notice anything but tons of piss, increased hunger, maybe night sweats and mood swings... depending on dosage. i assue the OP was given one of those 7 day packs, they are only 4mg each. I take 50mg a week at a time and never no moon face.
