Ive got a suggestion. DONT. Hear me out. Im a 5 handicap and was playing Ping Eye 2 black dots from the 1980s. Thought id see if some new irons would give me some additional distance that ive lost over the years (Im 57). Got custom fitted at Club Champion in Metairie and paid $2500 for 4-pw Ping 525 with custom shaft. I hit them great and they do go further. But 2 years later im still a 5 handicap.

I have the Mitsubishi chemical metal mesh stiff shaft. They have several options but I liked these best.

Pulled the trigger today, ordered a set of PXG Gen 6 0311P (4-7) and Gen 6 0317T (8-GW). All have the MMT Graphite Shafts. Picked up ball speed, distance and height compared to my Sub 70 699 Pros, which I still love.

I'm playing some ZX5's a buddy is letting me use...
I'm liking them a good bit...looking for a used set with regular shafts or senior...

The PXG 0311P are great irons.
I'm very happy with my Srixon X5 irons right now, but I could go back to the PXG'S in a minute if needed.

Call me crazy, I shot my age yesterday (68), but ordered new irons today. The PXG’s just felt better with the shot trajectory I was looking for.
