Round putter grip

I've been intrigued about the flat cat. I read an article that only the most skilled club builders can actually install non-rounded putter grips square to face. since putting is all about confidence, I was thinking that a round grip might eliminate some of the what if. Also, the other clubs are all round so might instil some confidence there as well. still torn on whether or not I will do it.
