Nah, 3Ws are awesome. Only trouble would be when the ball isnt laying in a perfect spot. But different brands have some designs that play a little different. I love the Ping 3Ws bc they lay nice and flat on the fairway.

But i also carry a 2 iron. There was a time in my golf life where i had a lot of trouble off the tee and i needed a club that could do some different things. I fell in love with its utility for my game. Either knocking a ball out of the rough and sending it low and tumbling down the fairway.

But these days im in the fairway a lot more and i dont have as much use for the 2 iron. It is probably the next club coming out.
