Made a trip with my wife to Michigan last week and was able to bring the clubs. Didnt realize how terribly shitty golf in La was. Played pick up in a league on "the shitty course" that is as nice as bluffs in the day with Uncle.

The nicest course I played was Black Lake in Onaway. 38 bucks for 8.20 tee time.
Was 60 degrees so a little chilly. Course was immaculate. Reminded me of Ross Bridge from a care perspective.

Depressing coming back here and skipping the SW in concrete bunkers

NLU did a fun season of Tourist Sauce there last season. Looks like a lot of great courses.

I guess the tradeoff is shitty courses 12 months a year or great courses 6 months a year.

I'm not sure how they keep them all in business in the shape they are in... maybe less fertilizer and water needed up there.

The one near detroit had a line at the tee box at 5pm. Gets dark around 930pm.
