I think most would say Oakwing is the better course, but I talked to a regular this week and he was disappointed with the conditions right now. Links is usually in very good condition for whatever season it is

Links is usually in better shape. They just co-hosted the APT Tour a couple weeks ago so it’s probably in very good shape.
I haven’t played either course in a while. Oakwing is my favorite of the two but they have had a tough few years from a course maintenance perspective.

Good shape. Greens are actually pretty fast last weekend after the APT event.
I like the layout of Oak Wing better but conditions are better at Links.
ETA: I still prefer Oak Wing even with the lesser conditions because pace of play is pretty rough at Links. Links just reworked their tee policy to have no groups smaller than 3 or larger than 5 until 12:00 on weekends, but it can get backed up pretty bad. Hadn't had that at Oak Wing yet.
Also, Oak Wing currently has some sodding renovations on a few tees and bunkers that are going to look great once the summer gets here.
