Indoor golf simulator recommendations

Buying a new home that has a ton of room in workshop. I was kicking around the idea of installing a simulator.
I was wanting to keep the setup around 2,000 - 2,500. I'd like to have a projector and pull down screen. Is this feasible in that price range? If so, what brand/equipment would you recommend?

Subtle brag baw, and no. For the $2500 budget a pull down screen and ball flight simulator isn’t happening. I’ve looked into them too and about the cheapest I’ve found for projector, screen, and enclosure is $14,000.

You could do it for about $4000 if you buy a skytrak

I forgot I looked at skytrak. The one they sell with somewhat of an enclosure is a little over $5,000. Reading reviews about the launch monitor included with it took me in a different direction. They say it doesn’t pick up the ball over 50% of the time. I have no personal experience with it. Just what I read.

You could most likely get the projector and screen for inexpensive but the software and the tracker are going to be pricey. I find it hard to believe a tracker/software to be decent and accurate enough for less than $10k. Even at Loft18 I've hit 9 irons 200 yards and they have $50k setups.
I don't like simulators due to the inconsistency of VR although it is fun with the boys and a case of BLs. Just remember all thes pros that "use VR" are paid spokesmen.

You can absolutely do it for 2,000-2,500 if you do a skytrak BUT you will not have the full software suite for that.
You'll have the driving range etc the course packs are 800ish by themselves.
You can get an impact screen, decent projector, skytrak, and a good mat for under 2,500 though.

You can get a screen and mini launch monitor for under $2500 but it won’t allow you the ability to play a virtual round. Just hitting and getting raw ball data.
Cheapest quality launch monitor is probably the SkyTrak which costs $1600-$2000 depending on package and if you can find a sale.

Anything better than skytrak will cost you a minimum of 7-8k used just for the launch monitor and software.

You can get a used GC2 with FSX software for about 5 k. $750 on projector, 500 on screen and 750 on a computer and you're basically good to go.

Be aware, this is a hidden cost. The course packs require a pretty beefy gaming computer, which most people do not have.

Damn I had no clue they were that expensive.
