Take a look at Colorado. I'm headed to Cortez Co. to play the Conquistador this morning. Playing Pinion Hills in New Mexico Sunday. Staying at the Glacier in Durango and played the Valley course Wed, awesome course next to the Mountain course in which is members only. One word describes Colorado golf. Weather. Highs in the low 80's with little humidity. Kinda have to get used to the elevation though.

Might as well fish the San Juan while you’re there. Hmmm. That would be a thread I’d follow: golf and fishing trips.....

Plenty of place to fish. Old man that lives north on Mancos said fish behind Walmarks in Durango on the Animas.

If you decide you rather just drive. Drive to Birmingham for Ross Bridge & Oxmoor. Or you could goto Auburn for Grand National and hit Cambrian Ridge on the way back.
