Heading up for the football game. Any suggestions on where to play?

If you can reciprocate, Champions is the site of the Barbasol. Keene Run is owned by the same group and is also a nice track. Both Private.
On the Public side, The Bull at Boone's Trace, Golf Club of the Blue Grass, and Houston Oaks are generally in good condition and are decent tracks. University Club is the UK home course. 36 holes: Wildcat is usually beaten-up; Big Blue is the better of the two.
Kearny Hills is owned by the city, is links style and a former site for a senior event back in the '90s. It's condition is hit or miss. If we get a lot of rain, it's got some low spots that become unplayable. If it gets dry, the city never keeps enough water on it and it burns-up.
Picadome is generally in good shape, but is a old course that is tight and short with tiny greens. Named after Gay Brewer and close to campus.
I would not consider other city courses (Lakeside, or Tate's Creek). They are garbage courses that the city tends to neglect.
And all that said, I've had back trouble and haven't played a round since mid-July. I don't know how any of these are playing today.

Idle Hour if you can get on.

Cherry Blossom in Georgetown or Houston Oaks in Paris. Both just outside of Lexington. Kearney Hills if you want to stay in Lexington. You can go downhill from there unless you get on a private track.
