First fitting session

Had my first fitting session after playing golf for about 13 years (mid/high handicapper) to replace my 10 year old irons. It was a great experience. Hit all the new GI Irons for Ping, Srixon, Callaway, Cobra, TM, and Mizuno.
I was really hoping I could be one of you all and got some Srixons, but I hit the JPX923 HM the best and it felt great through contact and off the face. Also, was getting more of a draw based shot, which is new for me.
I also enjoyed the Callaway Paradym, but the weight felt a little off to me. I wish I would have got fitted when I bought my previous set. I rushed it and didn’t even realize I had a regular flex (lol).
Happy to be part of the Mizuno family.

Mizuno really makes great irons. No doubt about it.
I have the 921 and my brother ended up in 923 and neither one of us wanted Mizuno but the numbers didn't lie and they are so forgiving toward the toe.

Gain any distance or consistency? Was you lie angle close to correct?

Definitely gained consistency. I could get the same distance with my old clubs, but would need to focus on that more and put more into it.
With the new irons I can swing easier which helped with accuracy and less wayward shots. Just felt more like let the club do the work.
Shots off the toe were more forgiving too. A couple times after a shot I knew I hit it off the toe and the results were surprising. My old clubs it would definitely cost me a stroke.
Ball speed was 120-121 on a regular basis.
