Watching the club pro championship and the course looks terrible. It used to be a really good golf course. Anyone know what happened?

That area is under extreme drought conditions.

And then it's Austin where the tree-huggers monitor every drop.

Most of Texas needs rain badly.

As of a few days ago there was only 0.08" of rain this month.

I'd say that has a lot to do with it. This calendar year has been uncomfortably dry in the area.

Talked to a buddy who played in it, he said course is fine, just looks a little burnt.
