Cheaper than buying 3 putters. Through my rather lengthy career I’ve bought at least 20

Been playing an Edel putter for years now. Best golf purchase I've ever made. The fitting process is what sold me on them originally. Closest thing us common folks can get to a custom putter.

But you’ll spend at least $450 for a driver and use it 60% less than the putter.
Sound logic.

You can’t buy a driver off the shelf at Dicks for 450. Mine came in at just under 1k last year. However, I will pay whatever for a putter too and the putter is the most important club in the bag. The best putters/players will use a putter on average somewhere between 28-32 stokes in a round of golf (Taylor Montgomery led the PGA in 22-23 with 27.13 putts per round) . I only hit my driver 6-8 times a round at my home course depending on conditions.
I’d argue a wedge you are completely comfortable with 40 yards and in including green side chips, which for me is a 54 degree is the second most important club in the bag.

I honestly do not see what makes a $450 putter 4x better than a $100 putter. And, maybe its because I haven’t purchased a putter in 25+ years…

You could argue this with a number of clubs in the bag. Miuras that much better than Wilson’s? At the end of the day, people will pay for what gives the confidence.
