I have 3 real complaints with wind waker
1. A big sea with not a lot in it
2. Not many dungeons which is more preference than complaint
3. The triforce fetch quest at the end was a little ridiculous imo.
I still liked the game and love the art style.

I refused to play the game for a long time because of the drastic change
I fall into this category. I had a great time playing it. It is actually a very solid Zelda game, but there really is no comparison:
IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN:

I agree with this one. And i wouldnt have minded one but if it was open land i got to ride Epona on. The boat was just annoying.

100% agree with you here. It seemed more quest and goal oriented than dungeons and puzzle solving. I'm all about dungeons.

I thought it was kind of a let down. The whole game seemed to be gearing towards something. But it never got there. It was all build, no climax. Even the final fight was kind of boring.
Also, was anyone else as upset as I was that they let you see Hyrule and didnt let you do shite in it? I was so amped up when i went out the castle. I wanted a glass of Lon Lon Milk, I wanted to see Epona, I wanted to ditch my wind waker for my ocarina. It really to me just hammered hom how perfect of a game OoT was and how far from it WW is.

I thought Gannon was pretty challenging though

I thought the puppet has one challenging form (the worm with the bulb on the tail). The final fight you were helped out so much by Zelda and the game telling you what to do that i just felt robbed of a final battle.
I dunno, like i said, to me the game felt like it was constantly building toward something, but it never got there.
When i was a kid Zelda was all about finding things out and figuring things out and solving puzzles and getting through dungeons and spending time and strategy figuring out how to beat bosses, etc.... WW was a solid game, but it just seemed to lack anything that made it great to me. It seemed to just guide you through universe and show you everything you had to do instead of letting you figure it out on your own, if that makes sense. Just my opinion. I have almost no deisre at all to play through it again. Where as OoT and MM and LttP i have and continue to replay yearly.

Exactly what I was referring to

What do you think of this:
and this:
The universe in OoT, released in 1998, on n64, on a 256 megabit (32 megabyte) cartilage felt like it had a larger universe, more to do, more characters, and better graphics than the Wii U game. That just boggles my mind with how absolutely fantastic of a game OoT is. There's a reason it's possibly the greatest game ever made.

I agree for sure than hand holding has become an issue for them. They seem to Acknowledge that now and want to open it up more. We'll see.

People are split on Wind Waker, twilight Princess, and Skyward sword
Most people look back fondly on Wind Waker. People didn't like the visuals at first, but the game is great (slow sailing and Triforce quest aside).
Twilight Princess, imo, was great from the start. It also got a lot of hate at the start. It is also being seen in a better light with time, though maybe not as much as WW.
Skyward Sword...we'll see what time does for it. I liked the story. The game itself frustrated me and annoyed me at times. I feel like it's biggest problem was that it was on the Wii. Waggle controls never worked for me and it held my hand waaaaay too much (Fi makes Navi look enjoyable).
