how is it dumb? to me it shows, i kill alot of people, go on streaks, and not die alot
i agree. i'd much rather play with someone who only gets 8-10 kills and only dies 2-3 times than someone who yes, might get 20 kills but will probably die 15+ times because their only talent is to run around with the Thompson or MP40, which takes no talent at all and is simply relying on the fact that those two weapons are far overpowered on this game.

I think KDR is a horrible way to prove skill....win/loss ratio is more important IMO
i've quit innumerable games due to lag. i've also been thrown into the middle or very end of games on the side of losing teams because the losing players start dropping out. how is that a reflection of skill?

While we are on the subject, anyone heard when the new maps drop? this week maybe?

I'm sorry to rant on this....
but Jesus Christ, how do some people believe they are helping their team win by getting 15-20 kills but dying just as many times. That doesn't help your team at all, because you aren't stringing together those kills if you die that many times, which means they are getting recon planes, artillary strikes, and dogs and not your team.
This just seems like common sense, but obviously I'm one in few, because nearly every game i play I will see people get killed in a room by a camper or a sniper and then run right back into the room time after time.

totally agree, it pisses me off quite alot, if i get 20 kils, i have 5 deaths, not like the rest of these idiots

My KDR sucks. Normally I just play HQ, so I don't worry about killing anyone unless they are in my way or come in when I am trying to capture HQ. I played Dome the other day and had 9 kills and 18 deaths but captured HQ 4 times and ended up just over 500 points.

well if it werent for those 20 kills no matter how many deaths, that would be that many more people that could kill you. no matter how good your camping spot is. or your glitches. if one person on your team is 20/15 thats not bad, it may actually help you out. more than one is too many.

i don't camp, first off. secondly that's not necessarily 20 people to come kill me it's more like 10-15 more kills for me....
the people who die 15-20 times a game hurt their teams chances of winnning, no bones about it, that's my point.

Do you get minus points for a death? No. If I get 20 kills by dying every other time, its the same if I get 20 by getting two 10 kill streaks and getting dogs and artillery. Maybe I just need it explained better, but that's my take on it.
PS: I am that guy by the way.
ETA: If I suck compared to your standards, I'm sorry, but I'm still gonna play.

no, but there are players who will foolishly run at enemies and enemy fire no matter how often they die. some of those guys capture objectives. but most of the time they just = artillery and dogs for the other team.

No, you don't negative points, but you give the other team easy points, especially when there are 4 o5 5 people with the same play style, because they get artillery and dogs.
I'm not saying I am better or worse than you, simply that we have different play styles, and I don't understand the other playing style and the thought process behind it.

I understand that for sure. I don't do this on purpose. I am trying really hard to get at least 5 in a row...I get pumped when I get dogs though. Thats an easy 10 streak.

dying alot is never a good thing and in no way will help you win the game...regardless of what you play...and on the other hand, killing as many noobs on the other team as possible will definitely give you the upper hand.

well...actually you do get negative points...it just doesn't show up on your side of the scoreboard, it shows up on the enemy scoreboard :)

K/D is the best way to determine skill. Wins could mean you have a good clan or are just fortunate, but K/D proves that you always help your team. At one point on WAW, I had a 3.11 K/D. My roommate plays on my account, so it's down to like 1.9ish now.
I run and gun too, but I don't run into impossible situations. I'd much rather go 5-0 than 25-18 or something.

Way to show the size of your COD penis
I'd rather go 20/16 in HQ and end up with more XP than someone who went 30/6 because I was actually helping my team capture and destroy HQ's.
Another thing, half of the time in HQ the other team places their artillery strike right on top of a building...ain't gonna work that way. And dogs, they don't bother me that much, just something else to knife.

please spare us all and stop trying to justify dying alot as opposed to not dying alot...GTFO and take your fail with you.
