I dropped 100.00 and opened card packs for hours and only got one diamond player. My team is pretty good and I fed my created player a crap ton of cards and he is a 99 rating now. Just scratching the surface on DD, but it's pretty fun so far.

Please tell me you did the inning challenges after you captured the teams' strongholds in conquest before you fed your created player.

I still have a stock pile of extra silver and bronze cards though. I just fed the common cards.

Oh okay! You should be good then lol.
After you do conquest and capture everyone it requires you to play a certain amount of innings with players from all 30 teams. It will take awhile lol.
But after you finish one team then it asks you to feed a teams players into your DD created player and once you feed a certain amount of skill points to him then you unlock a badass flashback card.
I mean I guess it doesn't matter if you aren't going to grind all that, but that's what I'm waiting for lol.
Apparently silvers get you the most progress when feeding for your stub count.

I am not sure. I haven't played any game with the Rangers to get the innings. I'm slowly giving up on trying to get Cleveland. They have shitty positional players lol

I have still yet to score a run through 12 games on DD. Took a conquest game last night into the 11th 0-0.

Pro tip: If you aren't using zone hitting yet, you're only hurting yourself.

That is the guessing the pitch and area of the strike zone?

Guessing if you're bad. If you get used to it you can read and react to the pitch. I tend to keep it held in the bottom of the zone then throw the stick up if I see a pitch high

That's what I have heard, but i still prefer directional

Most DD players know to keep the ball low unless it's a 2 strike count so if you can lay off trash pitches you'll get enough to hit to score runs

Lol I can imagine.
Playing with the Phillies and Reds has to be just awful.

Never use Guess Pitch. Zone pitching is where you have the yellow PCI (Plate Coverage Indicator) and you have to move it to where the ball is pitched. If you choose zone hitting, you can change the reticle to wedge and there will be a circle in the middle and the closer you can get that circle to the ball, the harder the hit.

I'll try that out.

I've seen you post this before and I don't completely disagree but, I do use it and have some success. I just make sure that I don't depend on it. I use it to help have an idea of what might be coming.
When I use it, I guess the exact same thing every pitch. I guess Fastball inside. If I don't get it right then I tend to sit back and wait on a breaking pitch. Even if I get a fastball to another part of the strike zone, I recognize it fast enough and usually spray those to right field.
My player's power is high enough to where when I do get that fastball on the inside part of the plate, more times than not, it's a no doubt hr (bat flip
I take a lot of pitches and don't rely on the guess pitch so it's actually pretty helpful for me. But that's just me.

This doesn't proc near enough with my guy and it pisses me off.

I only use guess pitch when I get into a situation where I have a 3-0/3-1/2-0 count. I guess fast ball. If I get it, I crush it. If I don't get the pitch I guess, I just take it because the count allows me to. That's the only time I use it. When I have a batter that can make you pay it can be useful.
