Quickly, you are trying to expand the territory you cover while defending your own territory. I haven't played conquest yet. But it seems like fun.

I throw heaters. It's nothing better than a hard fastball.

Literally 80% of my games last season cowards throw roughly 60-75% breaking pitches it's pathetic
How anyone can have success doing that is stupid and if someone loses to someone only throwing breaking balls then that's they're fault for sucking.
I have success, and have thrown multiple no-hitters in Battle Royale, by throwing realistic like at-bats.
You have to mix up the heat and the breaking balls and break trends occasionally.

If you can't learn to hit or lay off a breaking ball I'm going to throw curves in the dirt for 9 innings. That's not my fault it's yours

This game has so much to it. I'm really glad I decided to get it before rosters came out and give it all a try.
I've played battle royal at the beginning, but went 0-2. Need to build up my team before I can really compete. It was also my first two games playing, so probably was a bad idea.
Been playing conquest a lot. I've got the chance to build up my DD squad a decent amount while doing this. It's a pretty fun game mode. I like that I can knock out quite a few games in a short period of time. It can be frustrating, because I don't have any really big time hitters yet, so I struggle to score runs. A lot of my games go 6-7 innings before a team can get a run across. Still, it's pretty fun.
Also starting messing around with RTTS. Built a second baseman. Was drafted in the 2nd round by the Cardinals after my first go round. I wasn't playing for the Cards so I went back to a 4 year university. Ended up moving into the first round and was picked 12th by the Red Sox. I was pumped about that. I thought it was saved and turned off the game, but when I went back to play I realized I was back at the draft. Went 13th to the D Backs in this draft. I'm not a D Backs fan, but they do not have good depth at all at 2B. Should be able to crack the majors pretty quick.
Almost a month into the season I am batting a little over .500 and stealing a ton of bases. I set my guy up as a speed/contact guy and it's paying off big time. Leading AA in steals and BA by a large margin. I've just been putting all my points into contact vs right handers to begin (my speed started off at 90). Defense is pretty easy at second base, so I'm going to continue to grow as a beast hitter and then move on to the other things.
Whenever rosters come out, I don't know what I'm going to do because I'm having a lot of fun in the two modes I've been playing.

Was just in the 5th inning of a rated game - lined a single to left and the game just seemed to stop. Players stopped moving and nothing was working with commands. My ratings just took a hit, didn't they?

I'm tired of winning just to see the other player go with a hit n run and play the waiting game to see who quits first once the game bugs. This and pausing the game at the same time shouldn't fricking bug the game out

And then you go to their official forum and there is nothing but crickets from their support team on any of this shite. It's like they don't even care (which is probably true)

Any tips on base stealing? I have billy Hamilton and Ben Revere and seem to either get picked off or hosed at second more than 50% of them time

I'd assume that if either of them are on then the pitcher is going from the stretch which makes it hard no matter what to steal.
Just have to get the jump perfect.

I haven't picks up the game yet. But for stealing is it still just pressing L2 and the base runner automatically runs? Cause it sounds like you're saying you have to tell him exactly when to run

I honestly have no freaking clue lol. I've dabbled i battle royale, but typically the only game mode I play is RTTS and in that to steal when the pitcher is in the stretch it's all about getting a perfect jump.
I always assumed it was timing as well for a game where you control the full team.

Well in my experiences, when playing as the whole team, I just press L2 and they get their own jump. Sometimes good sometimes bad.

You hold L2 and when you release L2 is when the runner breaks
Posted on 4/6/16 at 11:50 am to Rig
I am a base stealing monster.
If you are not in RTTS you can steal one of two ways. You can either press L2 and let go. If you do this the runner will get his own jump. You can also hold L2 and keep it held until you are ready to run. When you release L2 the runner will take off, whether it's before the pitch, a great jump or a horrible jump. I am pretty good at getting a good jump every time, so I use the hold L2 method.
With my guy in RTTS I have 25 stolen bases throughout a months worth of games. First, your guy must be fast. In RTTS they have a new feature (I think it's new anyway) where you hold down R2...It puts the game in slow motion and locks you in on the pitcher. It's a pretty good way to get a perfect jump.
The only problem I have is that in RTTS when you get on base it puts the batter up with a 1-1, 0-2, 3-2, etc. count. It doesn't put them up with a 0-0 count and it's completely random if they will throw a ball/strike/hit/swing and miss. So, often times if you are trying to steal the batter will put it in play. Sometimes your manager will tell you to steal, and if that's the case then the batter will not be swinging.
Bottom line, it's all about the jump. In non RTTS I hit and run very often. I try to get my batters into counts that are good to run in and I steal. Unless my guy is super fast, in which case I straight steal.

Hadn't played a baseball game since I had MLB 2k10 6 years ago. I got a PS4 over the X-box one last year strictly so I could get this game if I wanted it. Didn't come around to getting the show 15, but I'm going to get this one either friday or saturday.
Before I pull the trigger can someone tell me how the batting is? I used to be lazy with the 2K game and switch it from the analog to x or whatever the button was you used to press. Is that an option on this one?
