probably won't find out for sure until tonight/tomorrow, but they have talked about how epic it is when "The updated Frostbite 2 engine can realistically show how a seven story building would collapse during an earthquake in a pile of smoke and debris."
i'm sure you could take a wall out (realistically) and get snipers pretty antsy if you find them

Yeah I understand the limitations of full building destruction, but even being able to take out walls and other stuff will be awesome. I can't fricking wait...

well, it'd probably require a lot of ground pounding with tanks and shite, but from what i've heard, bringing down a building is possible, but should definitely take way more effort than it's worth

Link?
I'm sick of waiting for this game. My expectations are so high that I'm afraid I might be disappointed. My buddy is a CoD player and just about refuses to play BF3.
He said the controls were different. Any way I can help him switch the controls to make them the same?

controls for what?
Sorry, PS3 controls. His hang-up for playing is that the he uses the default controls for CoD. Is there a way I can help him configure the controller to be like CoD's? If so I think he's game...

I'm asking if there's any indication one of the controls for BF3 will mirror CoD. If not is it possible to make it like the default CoD controls.

ohhhhh. no idea how controls will be configured... i'm sure you can select different setups.

The press and a few other people were shown an exclusive multiplayer demo of Battlefield 3 at the Temple Nightclub tonight in San Francisco.

The Battlefield 3 website should be seeing some major updates coming in the next few hours. Specifically, 2AM Eastern time. What we're expecting to get in about 1.5 hours? A video of the demo, some screen shots, and maybe something else (speculation.)
not going to sleep for a while

I know I asked this already but when is this being released?

so many good games coming out this year though--I have a pretty good feeling BF3 will be worth the wait

I have school to keep me busy, and maybe I'll throw Rift into the mix too, but I've always loved the BF series.
You remember the old Delta Force series? I loved that shite too...we've come a long way from Novalogic FPS.

now that's advanced for a 1999 game

It was a badass game for its time. Amazingly good game series, but it just got stale after a while...
