There's a demo available on the PlayStation store (and presumably other platforms) and it gives you access to the first two missions.
HOLY shite, this game is scratching that Nioh itch. It's fricking awesome!
Has anyone checked it out? It releases in a little over a week.
ETA: After beating the first boss, it seems like there's definitely a bit of Wo Long/Sekiro in this game as well.

Demo was fantastic. 2nd boss took me about a dozen tries. Was on the fence but now I’ll be playing day one.
ETA: love the art style too. And the trailer after beating the demo is epic!

Played the demo.
Only complaint is the stamina bar.

I'm hoping stamina is easier to manage as you level up and get gear with increased stam regen.

I beat the demon and started playing the main game a bit today. Made it to the next boss and it's a really fun game.

It's fun, no doubt. I've run into a brick wall with the viper fight. Spent two hours yesterday fighting him. Final beat him only to find out there's a second phase. So frustrating to have a boss that hard, so early in the game.

You have to level it up, but managing stamina is still an issue right now for me.

I finally beat him this morning after being stuck on him all day yesterday. The game is awesome. I’m loving it so far.
The stamina gets a little better as you level it up, but it is something you have to manage. It feels no different to me than FromSoft or Lies of P. Each weapon has skills that help with it too.

Finally had some time to play a bit more last night and I got to the hub place (not sure if we're doing spoilers or not 
) to collect the pre-order and deluxe edition bonuses.
I'm loving it as well, especially the level design (feels like Nioh/Wo Long).
Which weapon types are you guys using?
Is anyone else thrown off by the parry timing for wolves? It's like they pause mid-attack and it completely throws off my timing

Yes it is. I love the spear, but damn the bosses are ridiculous. Im at the spider boss and man they have ridiculous health pools. Also, what's up with my weapon I used in the demo being stronger than the purple tiered higher ranked weapons?

I was at the spider boss today too. Lock on to the pinchers and they break off for huge damage.
And I think it’s a bug. I finally got a spear to drop that was higher than my demo weapon.
And of course they nerfed viper the day after I beat him

Right? I'm not as far as you guys, but my level 7 weapon (and even some armor) vastly outperforms level 15 higher-tiered weapons.Posted on 3/27/25 at 8:24 pm to angryslugs

My level 15 weapon is still stronger than my level 50 weapons, which is disappointing.

Mine started getting higher around 60.
Also, it’s getting better the further I get. Really digging the story and level design.
ETA: just hit another skill check boss. I am, apparently, not very skilled

Yeah I finally caught up at level 70. I've ran into a brick wall tho with Maluca. His second phase is ridiculous.
