Switch wireless headset

My son got the Steelseries Arctic 1 wireless headset today for his birthday. He plays in docked mode but the microphone will not work. We bought this headset for him after way too much research thinking it would solve the wired head set issue for us but now he is devastated. Does anyone know if/how this headset can use the microphone while in docked mode? If it can’t, does anyone know of a wireless headset for the switch that the microphone works in docked mode?

I'm not sure about the Steelseries but I have used the PlayStation Gold wireless headset with my Switch. You just plug the USB receiver into the dock and they worked. Do the Steelseries have a similar receiver to plug into the dock?

Yes there is a dongle to plug into a USB port. Are you able to use voice chat wirelessly while the switch is docked with that headset?

I thought you had to use a phone app to use voice chat on the Switch.

My son uses this and works great. Mic is really good as well.

This has to do whether the game allows voice chat or not. Like Mario Kart or Animal Crossing, you must go through the phone app. I haven't tried it yet though. But since Fortnite allows voice chat on Switch, you can use the headset like you normally would on other consoles.
