the guy i have been watching play(in back ground), hasnt done any kind of smithing.

do you have to get those plans first, before smithing? or is there smithing?

I played Skyrim with controller, but have been playing Enderal with m+k, and it's actually been pretty good. I've been playing a lot of Overwatch, and Doom lately so it feels good to me.

Man, there is no getting OP quick in this game. Cave trolls are wrecking my shite! I'm still struggling to learn all the leveling up mechanics, and figuring out which direction I should go development wise. But my bread and butter has been summoning a ghastly wolf to tank while I electrify or burn my opponents. Staff of Flames has bailed me out of several fights now. Mobs destroy me.

this is what dude on twitch has been doing. from wolf to bear, to some mud creature.

but the guy is oblivious, he misses so many chests, etc

So far it's pretty good. Scenery doesnt do it for me too much though. Reminds me more of Morrowind in feel overall.

hopefully it only needs skyrim to run, my modded skyrim is an abortion. I just had to delete 1 mod, cause i liked 1 armor better, and since it was tied to several others, its a cluster.

I encountered something like this last night. I try to 'Meditate' back out (Z), and it seemed like the game crashed. But then about 30 seconds later I was back in Enderal.

Press 'P', select Meditation like you would select a dragon shout in Skyrim, then press 'Z'.

Thanx

you have to go to magic on ur menu bar(when pressing b), then make sure meditation is selected, then get out, then press P and rb.

wow, i had been stuck in there for 25mins pressing p and rb. restarting, same.

It's a bit glitchy. My GPU is enough to run it at very high/ultra even yet it will freeze during cut scenes

Made a lot of story progression. I think im gonna try to do some side quests before i get too far ahead. The last fight I had in the main story was impossible for my level so i had to bump down the difficulty or go back to a 3 hour old save

Loving this game so far. The world is so much more realistic. The battles are tougher, the world is actually feels more full and like everything that happens isn't for ur characters amusement

Yeah, I'm loving it so far. I'm still not very far, as I'm taking it slow.

So I have all these learning points and crafting points saved up. The only to spend those is by reading skill books?? Is there nothing else to be done at the character screen?

Haven't left Riverville yet. Doing side quests here, then I'll advance the story.

Yeah the only way to use those is buying books. Apprentice books up to lvl 25 then u have to use more expensive adept books to level up from 26 to level 50

Have you been reading the apprentice books as you come across them? I have a few saved up that don't seem relevant, I guess, to my build? If the skill points are a finite resource then should I be using them solely on skills I plan to use?

Noooo. You have to buy them. You will barely run across any in the quests. Thats why every vendor has books for that class. The game is built around you spending ur gold to buy the books to level up the skills you want

This game gives me a Two Worlds vibe for some reason.

1 small complaint would be there are too many wolves.

especially as weak as ur player is, i was getting hoards of 4 at a time. luckily, they get stuck, and i'm able to take advantage of it.

I mean, i'm using an axe dealing 5 hp of damage, and ur throwing wave after wave of wolves.
