I think it's clear people watch Doc and Shroud for totally different reasons, and that's fine. I've fallen down the rabbit hole with fl0m because, even though I've never tried any ranked or competitive CS:GO, I'm utterly fascinated with the communication that goes on when he's playing with his semi-pro team. He'll play with people like Jericho, SMii7Y, and tatman and he's just having fun and that's always great for a lot of laughs, but when it's business time, how good he is with an AWP and the comms that go back and forth.....I like it. StoneMountain is a great Warzone player but he also has a RP shtick that is so great, so he's a combination of both skill and entertainment.

he's definitely one of the best in regards to skill but not much of an entertainer.
I'm name dropping fl0m left and right, I know, but he explained yesterday that the reason people like watching Shroud is that his aim is actual aesthetically pleasing to watch. It's so smooth and masterful, so for people who are into the skill part of streamers, Shroud is at the top.

Ok guys. I've figured it out, and hopefully we can put any heated discussions about this to bed.
I have no problem with Chuck E. Cheese. There was a time in my life where it offered everything I wanted in a meal out, even if the pizza wasn't all that up to par. But now, if I have a choice between Chuck and a nice pizza joint in, say, Chicago or New York, I think I'm going to pass on the animatronics and dine well.
But respect to the mouse.

They like to be entertained.
Great gameplay is more important to me.
I mean, if the guy I'm watching is a straight up wet rag, I probably wouldn't stick around, and be honest, who isn't going to seem bland when compared to what Doc does, but I don't need over the top and high production to be entertained. That's why I like the youtube clips over watching the streams live. You get the highlights of the stream, and usually they are cut together really well.
