I've been playing EA since 1983 (Archon, M.U.L.E.). When they acquired Origin, I thought it would be a good thing. It wasn't. And, then they kept on doing it.
Just what they did to Bullfrog, alone, is unconscionable, (although some of that was self-inflicted), the sacrifice of quality for profitability became an EA calling card.

EA is the Fox TV of video games… lots of great franchises killed by the stupidity of management.

Their old Atari 800 / C64 / Apple II output was great.
Besides the two you mentioned, I’m also thinking Seven Cities Of Gold, Hard Hat Mack, and others.
