PS5 start up issues

Last night when my son started up his PS5, he got a white static screen which blinked back and forth to a black screen. I tried everything from unplugging the power and HDMI cord from both the PS5 and TV. Nothing worked. It’s still not starting up this morning. Can anyone help me solve this issue? I hope this thing isn’t fried.

Did you try another HDMI cord? Have had a dud before, sounds like the issue if the console is still booting up.

probably a bad hdmi cord.
