PS5 Games Appear Too Dark

Here's a problem I'm having with PS5 that wasn't entirely noticeable at first and then the more games I played on it, the more it feels like there's an issue.

I think PS4 games running in BC may be worse for wear but PS5 games have this issue as well.

I've played around with RGB full/limited settings on my PS5/TV making sure they match, and I can't tell that it makes much of a difference.

I found articles on the internet regarding PS5 forcing poorly implemented HDR on PS4 games, but they released an update to turn HDR on/off. I don't have an HDR TV, so the setting is always off.
