I confess. I had no clue what I was doing. I just avoided squad spawn when someone was in a vehicle and tried to kill people with red names. I succeeded in one of those.

Actually, if the other 4 hadn't been on last night, I wouldn't have jumped on either. Just so happened, that I joined the server, was able to switch teams and then jump in their squad. The stars aligned last night for BF4 gaming.

Obliteration is similar to the COD game sabotage
One bomb that you use to destroy other teams target

While I do prefer conquest, the lag was unbearable

Croacka, I didn't know what exactly to do, and when I asked questions, I got no answers. I then realized my mic was off.
I did run all the way to A bomb site thinking it was blinking and no one was there. I was confused. Then I realized I needed to chase the bomb, not the site.

One of the few conquest games we played, our entire team was 1-4 on the leaderboard and we got beat by 624 fricking tickets. That is pathetic.
ETA: I can't tell you how many times I got killed within seconds of picking up a bomb.

Yeah, but I went full last night. I'll get better when I understand things more, but in BF, there is no pattern to the other team. Sometimes, in COD, you can pick up a patter and do well easily. The maps are too big and the spawns aren't known (at least to me) in BF. Also, I can't tell you how many times I fired on a teammate or didn't shoot because I can't tell who is who half the time.
Does this get better?

It did for me in BF3, but with these larger maps and higher player counts its almost impossible
I do like domination, as the teams are smaller and it's more predictable, but it takes vehicles out of the game which is the best part of BF

I'm warming up to the vehicles. I was very anti-vehicle for a while. However, I tried to fly a chopper in the test area and didn't do so hot. I need to practice, but I'll never get in one in a game. There is no way I could be effective.

Yeah it gets better. Sometimes after running around a bunch ill chill in a spot for a minute to try to get my bearings and use the minimap to see where I want to attack next.
To me battlefield is all about getting points. Whether that comes from capturing objectives or destroying vehicles which get the most points and that's what I like to do. I could care less about my K/D if it means I've captured a bunch of flags.
Getting in vehicles is a lot more frustrating now as well. With 32 players per team in conquest if you pull up to an enemy captured objective you sometimes have 4-5 guys shooting RPG's at you.

Speaking of RPGs, when do I unlock these? I have no idea where to find something that would take down a vehicle. I find myself shooting stupid noob toobs at it.

You have to be engineer class and they have rpg type weapons as their options

You unlock it after getting a certain amount of points in the engineer class.
I think you start off with the MLAW which can do damage to vehicles

I've got my recon maxed out only because it starts out with C4. Working on Support Class now, then i'll move on to engineer and assault.
