My PS3 is not working for some reason. It keeps freezing in the middle of my games and then when I try to restart, it says "error occurred during start operation (80010514)."

Anyone ever had this problem? I've tried other games and still gives the same problem. And my PS3 is only 2 months old!

What did Sony do? I contacted them and they are sending me a box to send it in. What should I do?

1. Open Box
2. Place PS3 inside box
3. Close Box
4. Send to Sony
5. Wait

The reason I asked was because the previous poster said Sony screwed him!

I got mine repaired and the same issues have returned 3 months later. If you can take it back to where you bought it you would be better off.

Nah..it happens...my blu ray player went out 4 months into owning...my brothers graphics card went out 2 months into owning his....

and don't give me this cooling crap...both of them are not in cabinets and have nothing on either side of them...

I think is karma for all of the playstation people clowning xbox for the RROD issues.

PS3 Error and how to fix it.

Check out this website. It has info as to what the error is and how to potentially fix it before sending it back to Sony. Good Luck.

i was just fricking with you fwiw.

Also this seems to be the most common problem. A graphics card if you know what you're doing, you can replace yourself.

Both the 360 and the PS3 have shitty cooling, and that leads to all this breakage

Welcome to the club. At least yours broke while it is still under warranty.

Sony will never see another penny from me.
