Didn’t know if here or Tech board would be appropriate.

In the market for a new gaming rig, on a tight budget. Don’t know how to build myself and not really wanting to. I know prebuilt is frowned upon, but for me it works.

Amazon

Would this be a good buy or am I throwing away my money? The main issue I see with this PC is cooling issues due to the case design.

Im not going to be doing any 4K gaming. Mostly play WoW and probably the new Battlefield when it comes out.

This is a decent rig for 1080p gaming.

The 8400 is a decent processor, 8 GB is RAM is good enough, and you could always upgrade to a SSD/better GFX card later.

always ask, "can i build this at a cheaper price?" if you can't, it's better to build the same computer.

not necessarily.
building also comes at the cost of building and troubleshooting the rig yourself and holding all the warranties individually. there is a value in having that taken care of for you - especially if you have little experience in it or are short on time.
