Sony can't be reliable based on your machine breaking and totally disregard Micro$oft's 33% death rate?
What is Sony's "death rate"?
It may not be the RROD but from reading about my problem with the PS. It appears that Sony has a growing failure rate on their hands that they are trying to downplay.
I am just going by my experience and providing the guy with feedback for which he asked.

I'm confused. I thought you were a Xbox guy. I could be wrong....
Got a 360 about 4 months ago. Own 8 games and haven't had any problems. I love both but the PS3 shouldn't get trashed for anything because there is simply NOTHING wrong with it. When the 360 has a 33% death rate. People know what they're getting into when buying a 360, yet they still bitch.

NOTHING? I and many others beg to differ. I will post a picture of my PS3 paperweight if you would like.
Others with the same problem..
And more..
Plenty of comments on this one with many people who have the same problem
Just google "PS3 stopped working" or "PS3 won't read discs".
To say there is NOTHING wrong with them is ridiculous.

I stand by my statement.
K. Keep lying to yourself if it makes you feel better.
I guess there is no amount of evidence that would make a fanboi consider SOMETHING is wrong.
Ahhhh ignorance is bliss isn't it?

I have both. I like the PS3 a tad better than the 360. The online play is no different in my opinion. It really just comes down to which games you like to play more.

The main point of buying a video game system is to play video games, right? If so, why not go with the system that has more games, better games, and better online play? I don't understand the blue-ray shite either. Is a DVD player not good enough now a day?

Blu-ray really does look good on an HDTV dude. But, I'm with you on the gaming part, and the 360 has the PS3 beat in this department hands down.

Which one to get depends on your primary purpose.
If you are looking for a Blu-Ray player and gaming system get the PS3. The PS3 has a better graphics, but the limit is up to the gaming programer. Most games look the same on the PS3 and the Xbox 360. There are games that look a lot clearer on the PS3. The PS3 has less games out at the current time than the Xbox 360 and used games cost a little more. The online play for the PS3 is not as good as the one for the Xbox 360. The PS3 online is free. The PS3 comes with wireless built in. It comes with a browser so you can surf the internet, but it is slow. The controller isn't as responsive as the one for the Xbox.
The Xbox 360 is a gaming console. It does not have Blu-Ray play back. It will play standard DVD. It has much more games to chose from than the PS3. It also has plenty of quality games at a lower price and used games are a little cheaper. The online play is second to none. You do have to pay $50.00 a year but is well worth it. You will have to pay for a WiFi adapter $99.99 for the Xbox if you want to play wireless over the internet. No internet browser. This system can be linked to your PC.
If you are a sports gamer and will like to play online you need to think hard at your choice. All sports games play the same on both systems. The graphics on a few of them are better on the PS3. Online play I find is easier and better on the Xbox. If baseball is your top gaming sport MLB The Show is only on PS3 and is the best ever to come out.
I have all three systems, Wii, PS3 and the Xbox 360. All have different features that make them unique. Please read up on what they have to offer. I play my Xbox 360 the most followed by the PS3 and then the Wii. My young daughter (11yo) plays the Wii the most. My son (15yo) plays the Xbox 360 the most.

I have a 360. I think its a great machine. Online play is way better than than PS3 but you do have to pay for it. I think a year subscription is like $49 though so its not alot.
X-box has the better exclusives with the exception of MLB the show. If X box could put out a good baseball game then they would have the PS3 beat in every category except the Blue Ray stuff.
So IMO X Box > PS3
( unless your a die hard baseball fan )

Why do you like Hollywood Undead so much?

There is a company besides Sony that will fix it and if you use video game 911.com they can make it so the PS3 plays PS2 games.

I have had the Xbox since the game system came out. The only problems I have is 2 scratched disc. It is somewhat noisy, but fan mods can make it more quiet.
I like the 360 b/c of Xbox live. They have a 1 year headstart on Sony with respect to their online gaming.

ps3 gets my vote
i only have a wii but i play both ps3 and 360 alot. 360 is the shite for online play, straight up. 360 may have the edge in exclusives, but that is a personal opinion. the 360s major downfall is that they break like a motherfricker. for example, my cousin has a white 360, rrod. so he bought an elite, the cd rom doesnt work. that sucks.
ps3 is a tight console, blu ray is cool too.

The 360 can stream netflix movies and TV series if you have an account. You can also rent HD movies on the 360. They are not quite Blu-Ray quality, but still way better than DVD quality.
