Pikachu or Eevee will chill on your head or shoulder while roaming. You can have another Pokémon follow outside of its pokeball, and I believe it's dependent on location for some (can't have Onix our and about on the water routes). Also, if they are big enough you can ride them. Videos have shown the character riding a Charizard and Onix. And I think there is the leaked picture of him riding a Lapras.

This game is for nothing but to try and get the people playing Go on mobile to buy a Switch. Apparently all of your Pokemon from Go will transfer into this game.

No you cannot play 64 games. And battles work like they did in the original with trainers.
