Just caught a pidgeot that took about 30 pokeballs. Does anyone know if you should max level them up before evolving or does it have a base number after they evolve?

I've read that you want to level them up before evolving because the levels carry over and obviously it will cost more to level them up at a higher evolve than it would at lower.

They come and go. I've left my app open in the same spot and have caught plenty that way

Yeah I keep the app open when I charge my phone and it will spawn Pokemon and usually one spawns near me. I only go after the 2 steps or less Pokemon. 3 steps will probably lead me to woods, neighbors house, or a golf course.

I haven't gotten any notifications but it will update Pokemon spawn location. You can go to setting and turn on battery saver option to help your phone battery. I heard medium data usage but I don't know how much I've been on wifi.
