Lol how?
I said I thought it looked like shite and you said

I can't believe the amount of stupidity over the Zelda graphics. It's called cell shading you ignorant fricks. It's SUPPOSED to look cartoony and saturated.
I mean you didn't reply to me, but that was essentially my opinion.

If you had kept reading, which it sounds like you didn't, you'd see that I posted that I don't particularly care for the style, either. I prefer the darker/more realistic looking style. However, that doesn't mean that they didn't accomplish what they set out to do. Quit trying to play the martyr. I didn't even read your post when I posted mine.

I've read everything you said, but I apparently I did mistake your post. My bad, man.
Regardless, like it was stated the game still has a way to go until it's released. Hopefully it's great

There's a lot of small things that are amazing to me, what I'm worried about is the lack of story, the lack of NPC's, and the complete absence of towns. I love the idea of a vast sandbox Zelda game, but I'm not down for an empty sandbox.

If cell shading is an excuse to make shitty textures then yes I'm calling it out. There's a picture of a boulder that looks pre Oblivion a couple pages back. That game was released a decade ago. Hell Wind Waker does cell shading better than this, Okami as well both two generations ago.
And yes no towns is a huge mistake, sounds like Final Fantasy XIII

That being said it looks like they tried to make a modern day version of the very first Zelda and there were no towns in that either. What even worries me more is the fact that there's no currency. But we do know this was just a demo version to roll out as a taste at E3. A lot of things were disabled and not accessible. There's still over 7 months of development time left.

And yes I know that's WW HD, still pitiful. Also shows how well WW has aged, everyone was so pissed when they first showed it.

Yeah the idea sounds brilliant.
But if it's empty, it's going to suck. I know it's 'open world' cliche, but I enjoy random events when roaming across an world open game.
Also, I noticed in the stream that equipment and clothes have numeral ratings. This will I think be a great idea, but if you're going to do that, you have to put a vast amount of equipment, weapons and clothes into the game to make attack and armor numbers really matter. it won't work if there's only like 5-6 swords or a few sets of armor or tunics.

A. If you don't see the massive difference in texturing, you're blind.
B. You're already dumb enough to post a direct 1080p frame capture of a game and compare it to a screenshot of a Twitch stream being compressed down to 720p at 30 fps. Let the full version come out.

Look you think the game looks fine and that's great, but it's going against some stiff competition and Nintendo fans like to always think their games are above criticism.

Not even considering games go gold at least a month before, also you really think they will rewrite all the textures with an already unstable framerate? Look at Xenoblade X and hope for the best, and even then Monolith Softh are the true Wizards of Nintendo hardware and they didn't do it.

I will make a ban bet those rock textures look like arse when they release.

I wish they would create a re-imagining of this game. Just keep the same core mechanics.

They said there were towns and other people and other interactions not shown today because they didn't want to spoil any of the story.

quote:That's what I figured. It looked like they were trying to keep dialogue in general out of the demo. Just from the few trials they did show we already know Ganon is involved. I wonder if there will be currency in the full release.

Considering you and I both know that nobody holds up ban bets it was more to prove a point.
The game will visually be same as shown today minus a few tweaks, especially seeing as it already has an unstable framerate. You can guarantee that.
