This is the PC I am putting together for my youngest so that he can run his games and use it for a few years for school.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5700x3d

CPU Cooler: Amazon Liquid cooler

Video Card: Radeon 6750XT

Power Supply: Corsair 850W PSU

Motherboard: MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS AM4

RAM: Corsair DDR4 3200 RAM

New monitor: Acer Nitro 32" 1440P

I am thinking that this won't fit in the old case but I will let him pick out his new case then I can use the prebuilt case for another budget build since that AMD FX-4300 is just not getting the job done. I know the RAM in this build isn't the fastest that can be used but I am not sure how much of a difference it will make in the games. If need be, I can replace the RAM with faster speeds and reuse in the budget build.

Nothing wrong with the build IMO. Way more than what's necessary for Fortnite, Minecraft, and Roblox.

Get a thermalright peerless assassin air cooler. Cheaper and less likely to fail than a cheap AIO.

That CPU doesn’t need much to stay adequately cool.

Ran into issues trying to fit the liquid cooler in the old case, running to Best Buy in the morning for a new case, most likely one of the NZXT cases.

Had to RMA the motherboard since the PCIe slot wasn't operable, looks to be about a month turnaround on the repairs. Ordered another motherboard from Amazon so that he can keep playing with his Xmas present.

This is the shitty side of PC gaming that is often overlooked

Motherboard has returned from MSI and same issue as before, boots up fine with the video card in the 2nd slot but not the first. Is it even worth it to send it in for another RMA?

PC Gaming is so much fun
