....i'll add you tonight. the only 2 people who i have to compare times to are broke and a cop friend of mine who is horrible. i've beaten most of his times by 15+ seconds.

i'm a level 7 cop and a level 6 racer.

don't know about the update but for whatever reason i kept getting disconnected from the autolog last night.

nope. no upgrades. the one disappointing aspect of the game i was looking forward too.

only color options.

it's made up for with:

- Having 2 different careers, so your not just racing or chasing speeders. When I get tired of racing I do the cop career. When I get tired of chasing speeders I race.

- Constant equipment upgrades. Racer(Jammer, EMP, Spike Strip, Turbo) & Cop(EMP, Spike Strip, Heli, and Road Blocks). The more you progress the more these are upgraded.

- Endless amount of vehicles. I've probably got 40-50 unlocked and I'm merely 20-25% thru with my careers.

- Several different types of races for cops and racers. Plus several different vehicle classes. Obviously you aren't going to be driving a Dodge Charger while a cop has a Lambo.

- Multiplayer and online options is great too. Say if Broke, unlikely as it is, breaks one of my race times. It is posted on my wall when I log in. Same for him. When playing against each other you can race head to head or one can be the cop the other the racer.

- Just the adreneline rush you get from it all together is awesome. Cops chasing you, having to dodge road blocks and spike strips, trying to take the cops out, jamming their EMPS....all on top of trying to keep your car intact, avoid oncoming traffic, and win the race.

did i mention it's a great break from BO, the drama surrounding it, and the ones who keep stirring the pot?

The update is some type of game tuning I'd assume. I don't know why it isn't mandatory. I'm a level 9 racer and a level 6 cop I think. I only play online lol.
The update is in the add-ons and extras part of the game marketplace. You a few new cars when you download it also.

sweet. i like new cars.

the races that piss me off the most are the ones where you are a cop and you have to respond to a call on the other side of the county. without wrecking, hitting anything, all the while making great time. those piss me off.

I have some of those cars but they only let me drive a $20,000 foreign job or the convertible BMW.

yeh, you have to unlock races of different car classes.

you'll start seeing badass cars at around level 4.

me personally rank up faster as a cop, but enjoy being a criminal more.

it's all about winning the races, successfully using the equipment you have, and not wrecking that gets you points.

Somebody help me out with the term "slipstream". I don't know what this is.

It's drafting. The car in front of you is pushing the air and taking the majority of the drag. If you are behind them or just inside their slip stream there is less drag/resistance on you so you come up behind them faster

ETA; Picture a boat making a wake through the water and you ideally want to be inside the wake. That is what the car is doing with the air.

that.

do this for a minute or so, save your turbo, follow them into a tight turn, and use the turbo and slip stream to slighshot yourself ahead of them and a few others. momentum.
