Oh, snap...I just noticed this was for the NCAA 12. I may have to reevaluate my team selection. Has the team ratings come out yet?

To make it to where it switches teams every round you could arrange the bracket to where the winner has to play with the team he beat previously.Since everyone is mostly picking Top 25 teams.Just choose the Top 32 and make a bracket out of those. Then generate another tourney bracket to seed users to teams. It would only work with a single elimination tourney though. Also I'm sure someone will complain about getting a team they don't want. But you can always use other playbooks anyway. But this the only way to stop people from bouncing around the top 5 or 6 the whole tourney and never see the same game twice IMO.You just have to figure out the teams from 26 to 32 and hope they would sign up

I think each person should just pick 2 teams that they will use for every game. Higher seed gets priority in the first round if both players have the same #1 team and then in following rounds the team that didn't have priority in the previous round would get priority and if both teams didn't get to play with their #1 team in the prior round, then the lowest seed gets to have its #1 team.

For example, I would pick OU as my number 1 and I would get to play with them until I played someone else who had OU as their #1 and had priority over me in which case I would play as my #2 team, Stanford

I see what your saying but who wants to see only top 5 teams in the game the whole tourney.the problem will occur when how do you know you have the priority if the seeding is random and there is 10 OU's.The way Im suggesting balances that out along with skill.Say your Texas and I'm OU.You can pull the upset to get OU and it shows your clearly better. It will also stop people from abusing the game, for example using Pryor(if he makes the game)to run on everyone the whole time.Instead if he beats you Pryor is out,and the USER will have to keep figuring out ways to win the whole time meaning it will take multiple ways to win the tourney not Fast Qb's and Options. And there will never be the same game twice.

I can see your point and overall I do like the idea of being forced to have a random team every game, I think some people will feel they didn't get a fair draw if they get knocked out by a top 5 team while they are playing as a fringe top 25 team.
If we could do your idea, but only use top12-15 teams or B+ to A- and up then I think it would be perfect

Yea, I guess that would be fine, or use the 19 A- and up teams.
But its really up to finch

pick who you want. and stay with them. keep it simple.

I think we need to stop at 24 teams because it would make a perfect double elimination bracket. Doubt we reach 32 players.
With the ability to switch teams but not repeat, I think it'll be more competitive and more strategic. Plus I think it'll show who the best player is. Let's face it, the guy who wants La Tech won't stand a chance against an average player who controls an elite team. So we really don't know how good msutiger is compared to others.

I'll take ole Stanford
Posted on 6/20/11 at 3:34 pm to finchmeister08
Looks good to me. But can we force everyone to use at least B+ and up teams so that no one is forced to play with someone like la tech after they beat msutiger?

Lol, I was about to post the exact same scenerio in this case. I can go with this team selection rule as long as I'm not forced to have La Tech after beating them.
Also how about randomizing who we roll with in round 1. Pull it out of a hat.

If you want to use LSU to then use them.

I'd be down for random B+ and up teams for round 1
