Stout did give me my own room in the Stout Mansion though.
With awesome carpet I might add.

Does the person who 'owns' the world have to be online to access it?
Yes
For now. That will change though

How does leaving a door open lead to shite getting blowed up?

So its this ^ minus all the cool shite your can do like partying like a rock star-having wild virtual sex-and bikini babes at your modern mansion. Meh
Not quite. In Second Life and The Sims, you build through a UI. You have a toolbox, you select components of the structure, rotate them, move them around, place them where you want, etc.
Neither of those games possess the open world feeling that you would experience in a RPG. Aside from building in a first person perspective, building in Minecraft is a bit more raw and pure - instead of selecting a wall to place somewhere, you actually have to build the wall, block by block.
With SL and The Sims, you're limited by the engine and the toolbox available to you. In Minecraft, your mind is the toolbox.
You can't even come close to doing something like this in SL or The Sims.

Creepers can slip in.

They have creatures called Creepers that explode and if the door is left open, they just walk right on in

That's how Stouts walls got blown up. I didn't actually do anything.

I'm sure the wind blew the door open behind you after you closed it.

I'm going home to play right now.

That sounds cool if you're into building shite from scratch.

I made a whole new and bigger house today on the world I made. It took a ridiculous amount of iron but I was able to make a minecart track going from one to the other. It's on a floating island, and it has multiple stories, a balcony, separate rooms, paintings, and colored flooring and roofing. It's just a bit better than my original 8x8 house.

Damnit I'm pissed I had to drive back to my parent's place this weekend. I spent like 3 hours today building my own cave lair. shite is gonna be awesome.

Yeah, got me a full glass enclosed patio attached to my tower resort in Stout's world.
Haven't been able to play that much recently, that should change after tomorrow around noon.

My floating island is creeper-free.
I had to make it that way because creepers kept fricking up my original one.
Also, anyone have issues with mobs appearing in their houses when they sleep? It happens a lot in my small house even though the inside and outside are well lit and my bed isn't touching the wall.

Have you made sure that all of the doors are closed? I was thinking the same thing but then I discovered an open spot on the other side of my house.
How do you access your floating island?

Yeah everything is sealed off. I guess my house might be too small. I get to the island by a minecart track. Took a ridiculous amount of iron ingots to make the track, maybe over 100.
