Kill the first "boss". The guy that slit your throat at the beginning.

After you rescue your old friend, he goes into hiding in a cave towards the northwest corner of the map. You need to do two missions with him to make the boss come out. One is get some explosives, and the other makes you blow up a statue of Souron. After he appears, Kill him, and some chick will lead you to the new map.

I get so distracted doing all the side missions that I keep forgetting what is going on in the story

I usually just stay in one area and do everything around. That usually takes me all over the place.

Sometimes I wish I could clear and area and the orcs would all go away in that area. They just distract me so much.

Not sure how Orc reproduction works. I know they were able to make the urak hai themselves in the movies.

When you head to the new map can you come back to the old or do I need to make sure I do everything?

Nah, you can fast travel between the two maps.

I only have about 5-6 main missions left, so I went back to the first map to finish up all the sword/bow/dagger/outcast challenges first.

Right now, I have the entire first map "clean". I own all the warchiefs and elite captains in the area, completed all the side missions, and collected all the "treasure". That's where I went to sleep last night. I'll start working the 2nd map tonight, but there is still a ton of shite to do. I think I'm about 53 hrs in, per my save file.

Game still says I'm only 50% done.

I'm not sure if I want to buy this on PC, or wait until I get my Xbone.

If you run it on PC you might want to have a controller on this one. At least that is how I feel about button mashers.
