im getting totally raped in Yahargul. quite the skillcheck from the previous zones for me. compared to DS3, i felt like i was breezing through most of BB until i hit this fricking creepy place.

since ive got the Upper Ward key, is this hell hole optional now or do i need to keep going?

Useen Village is required. Upper Cathedral is optional.

What level are you?

I was mid 70s, I think, when I went through the Unseen Village. It was fairly smooth.

Man, you made it there way lower than I did. Then again, I spent a couple hours farming echoes one day and got a few quick levels that way.

If you equip a Moon Rune and spawn at the Witches Abode and make the run back to the starting lamp, killing everything, you can get about 15k echoes per run. Each run takes just about 2 minutes.

I kinda made a poor choice. I used most of all my coldbloods buying up vials cause i was getting tired of grinding. Prob cost me at least 5 levels.

Guess ill grind it out for a bit. Been trying to coop on some bosses but cant seem to get summoned.

This is also a good blood vial farming route. Those 3 giants with axes drop 3-4 each and you'll get a few more random drops too.

There's an even better one late game once you have all 3 Moon runes. I'm making 66k per 3 min run.

Also, there's something strangely satisfying about Visceral attacking a giant pig from the rear. You reach in his arse and rip out his life.

Just finished up my first playthrough. I'm mad at myself because I forgot to go through the Old Hunters DLC after it destroyed me on my first venture in. Sooooo...now I get to get my arse kicked in NG+ when I go through it.

I think I was slightly overpowered for Gherman and the final boss. 2 shot both of them without much struggle. I was 120 for them. Spent about 2 hours farming echoes to level up.

Will probably step away and play Nier for a while, but I will be back in this game for sure.

120 is super over powered by for the final two.

Would have been a decent run in the dlc. 120 is the meta max level for most players

What's a good level to start the DLC? I'm 72 right now.

I went in around that level and was getting creamed, but it's doable. I think I was just being impatient.

Instead of running NG+, I made a new character and I'm gonna go BLT/SKL. I've resigned myself to this pretty much sucking arse until I get Chikage.

72 is pretty good. You will do better at 80+ A lot of it depends on how much you put in VIT and your damage output attribute. I think I went into the DLC the first time at 90, I didn't have issues.

I ran in at level 40 to get the whirligig saw and beast cutter before that and just ran through the enemies to get to the weapons

I tried for a minute last night. Wasn't too bad. That first hunter wrecked me the first time. Made it to that huge thing laying down and had to go to sleep.

Now that's a good idea. I'll do that today.

That was my farming route when Amygdala and Ebrietas were kicking my arse and I ran out of vials.

I just started this game for the first time last night. Seems pretty bad arse so far. I look forward to reading some of this thread as I move forward. Wish me luck!
