It Takes Two A Co-Op Masterpiece? Releases Friday

From the creators of A Way Out, It Takes Two will cost $40 and comes with a free pass to allow anyone who buys the game to invite a friend to play for free. A way out was a great take on co-op split screen gameplay and so far it takes two reviews are even higher (90 on metacritic) with some game of the year hype.
this one looks to be more kid-friendly so some of you may be able to try it out in father/son coop mode.
the first game was only playable in coop and i'm sure this will be the same.
I'll be picking this up for sure as their previous game was really good (especially the ending)

It Takes Two is co-op gaming genius and is going to go down as both a classic of the genre and a Game of the Year contender. There's not a single dull moment in the entire game, and we didn't run into any glitches or technical issues of any kind either. It Takes Two is polished to near-perfection, and an absolute must-play for co-op gaming fans.

Time and again, It Takes Two finds new ways to demonstrate how vital communication and effort are in getting two individuals on the same page. It even riffs on classic toys like the Etch A Sketch and See ‘n Say, as well as seminal video games (like Mario Kart’s Rainbow Road, Crash Bandicoot’s chase sequences, or Diablo’s isometric combat), to bring that message to us. But even when it isn’t toying with our nostalgia and just reveling in the sublimely ridiculous, the game is sneakily, delicately balancing our desire to remain kids at heart with the reality of our adult responsibilities. That’s a valuable lesson, and it’s one that the developers at Hazelight deliver without making it feel like they’re tasking us with grown-up homework.

Been meaning to try this since it's on Game Pass, but wanted to make sure it was good before getting my wife or daughter to try it with me. Thanks for the review.

A Way Out is definitely worth playing if it's on gamepass

This like an improved version of Little Big Planet?
Edit
That was a good trailer. Game looks really cool and fun.

The Polygon review gave me the impression that some parts are very dark and not really geared towards kids. I don't want to copy/paste the specific section I'm referring to because it provides some spoilers, but if you don't care about spoilers, just start reading at the paragraph that starts with:

But kids are unlikely to enjoy the many outdated references (the Pringles jingle, “Double Rainbow!”) and pun-laden dialogue in It Takes Two.
That paragraph and the two that follow talk about how dark some sections are.
