The PS3 outsold the 360. That is a fact.
The PS3 also sold at a faster pace. Another fact.
It's okay to say they tied. But to say 360 won, that is just not correct.

Well per wikipedia 360 did, but it was within a few thousand so who knows or even the accuracy. We can call it a tie. Microsoft had better profit margins and profit streams for that generation, so they won where it counts. It took some time for PS3 to turn a profit.
It is OK to say nice things about both consoles.
-PS3 settled the BlueRay vs HD DVD war.
-360 made online console gaming easy and mainstream.
