I want to set up a racing rig

I’ll defer to those who know more than I do, but with a budget of $3k, I feel like this comes down to how much you want to spend on your setup outside of your gaming system. I would decide that, then look at what I have left in the budget.

Depends on what racing games you want to play? If you went PS5 then you can play GT7 but with PC you’ll gain access to Forza Horizon/Motorsport along with iRacing. $3k will get you a decent PC and wheel but not full blown sit-down immersive racing rig but you could build to that eventually over time.

Do you want a full racing rig? I’ve been exploring options and the biggest problem is space. They’re made out of extruded aluminum frames and they do not fold up for storage. I’m looking at a curved monitor with a PC driven setup. The frame needs to allow for the seat to be fully adjustable for comfort. I’m looking at something like this with accessories.

If your budget is $3k, go to Fanatec and get their PS5 bundle.
It works for PS4/PS5 AND PC.
If you dont want their F1 podium series setup, they have a PS5 /PC compatible GT wheel/pedal bundle as well for like $800 thats supposed to be pretty goos as well. Then you would have more to spend on your cockpit
