Help with Madden 25 Gen 4 vs Gen 5

My son is trying to export his College 25 Road to Glory player to Madden 25. After watching numerous videos, I know he needs to get into the “Superstar” game mode in Madden 25 to load his player. However he doesn’t have that option, only “Face of the Franchise”. According to multiple google searches, it looks like the reason is he is playing in Gen 4 and needs to be in Gen 5 of Madden. He is playing on an Xbox series X which Google also tells me Gen 5 should automatically be loading but it is not. Anyone have a clue what I need to do to get this to the correct Gen? Below is the main landing page in Madden which is a stark difference from the landing page when it is the correct Gen of the game.
